Vision Education helps with LearnMatch in the fight against Coronavirus. Covid-19 presents us all with an unprecedented challenge. Providing continuous educational opportunities for students has become an urgent concern. Millions of children are forced to stay at home with their families. Parents, many of whom have to work from home, manage family and work in parallel. No easy task!

For this reason, we wish to help those affected. We want to help you to ensure that children are kept meaningfully occupied outside school, can learn and have a lot of fun at the same time.

In every crisis there is always an opportunity to do good. This is no exception! We want to ensure the continuation of education with modern media, and have decided to help children in these challenging times to learn languages online in a playful way, together with their friends and family. Our aim is to motivate children to stay at home and immerse themselves in the digital learning world.

Vision Education once again makes the shortlist

Vision Education once again makes the shortlist for a major international awards ceremony. Amazing achievements in learning technologies were celebrated at the glittering gala ceremony held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London, UK on 27 November 2019. At the Learning Technologies Awards, we took second place in the category ‘Best use of mobile learning’. We found ourselves in good company, rubbing shoulders with Mobile Coach, Yap Books, m-Spine and Digital Chefs. Being surrounded by such inspiring business minds was a truly enriching experience for us.

What are the Learning Technologies Awards?

The Learning Technologies Awards represent a huge network of talent and creativity. They are arguably the most prestigious and credible awards within the UK’s learning & development industry. The awards recognize global commitment, enthusiasm and passion for learning technologies: being shortlisted is an achievement to be proud of. Finalists are selected by an independent judging panel composed of experts and organized by the eLearning Network.

Learning Technologies Award

This particular award recognizes organizations working within the field of learning technologies that have achieved exceptional outcomes within their customers’ organizations as a direct result of the content of the learning technologies that they have developed. Furthermore, it recognizes learning technologies companies that have made a positive contribution to their range of services or products, backed up by excellent customer service.

Learning Technologies Awards 2019

Over 150 participants from various countries gathered to reflect on ideas, innovations and technologies. The awards were presented in a variety of categories, including ‘Best learning technologies project – international commercial sector’, ‘Best learning technologies project – public & non-profit sector’, ‘Best use of mobile learning’, ‘Best use of social and collaborative learning technologies’, ‘Best use of learning technologies to ensure compliance’, ‘Best learning game’, ‘Most innovative new learning technologies product – international’, ‘Best learning platform implementation’, and even ‘Learning developer of the year’. Vision Education was nominated in the category ‘Best use of mobile learning’.

We warmly congratulate the winners in each category. In addition, we look forward to remaining connected with them in the years to come. Together, we can play our part in making this world a better place: we are sure of it.

aprende and learnmatch

LearnMatch-App supports Aprende.org

Hola LearnMatch amigos!

Our first project in South America, namely Pro Mujer, has already proven that we don’t just have a head for football. But now it’s time for us to go one step further. Vision Education is now  supporting the NGO project APRENDE, together with the Carlos Slim Foundation. And our app LearnMatch plays a huge role!

NGO projects that are of global importance are a matter close to our heart.  With Aprende.org, we have brought on board the most important learning platform in Latin America! In the future, our LearnMatch app will offer linguistic support for this free platform. Aprende.org has been developed for people who are keen to learn new things. Users will be able to access a diverse range of languages free of charge. Thereby they can expand their language skills. All that for a bigger goal: more education for all! A matter truly dear to our heart.

What is the Aprende.org platform?

The Aprende.org platform focuses on areas supported by the Carlos Slim Foundation.  The aim is to offer assistance in the areas of education, employment, culture and health to people with little access to education. The mobile version of Aprende.org is also free for active Telcel and Infinitum users. Some of the courses are developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Their goal is to help users develop specific skills so that they can find better jobs later on.

How is the platform structured?

The platform consists of three main areas: Education and Culture, Capacítate Occupation and Capacítate Health. Under Education and Culture, you will find courses in primary and secondary education, higher education and digital media. Capacítate Occupation offers training and further education in finance, construction, health care, technology and tourism. Capacítate Health puts together proposals for health care in the workplace or at school, among other things.

We are excited to see how users in Latin America respond to our LearnMatch app, and look forward to working with the Carlos Slim Foundation and Aprende.org.
