General Questions

What is Planet Pop - English4Kids?

With Planet Pop, primary school children aged 6-12 learn English faster and better than ever before. Children learn to speak English from day one by singing English songs. In the process, they have great fun and are impatient to show off their skills to their parents and friends. From the very beginning, children develop excellent pronunciation and understandable and natural grammar with Planet Pop. After just a few days, you will be able to have your first conversations with your children in English. Together with Planet Pop, help your children develop a lifelong love of language learning and the foundation for native-level English.

What are the prerequisites for a child to use the app and learn in a meaningful way?

The child should already be able to read in their native language in order to really make sense of the app and use the content.

Is the app free of charge?

Three activities per day within Planet Pop – English4Kids are available free of charge and WITHOUT advertising. Unlimited access is offered as a subscription model. You can see the respective prices for the paid content in the AppStore or, of course, before each purchase.

The subscription is automatically renewed if it is not cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your child’s account will be charged for the next subscription period up to 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. The current period of in-app subscriptions cannot be cancelled.
You can deactivate the automatic renewal function at any time in the account settings.

Do I need an internet connection to use Planet Pop - English4Kids?

Yes, the videos are streamed so an internet connection is always required.

There is no sound, what should I do?

1. Please check that you have switched on the audio function: both in the device settings and in the app settings.
2. Please send us an email to support-kids@learnmatch.com, specifying which smartphone/tablet and which app and Android/iOS version you are using. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

The app is slow and hangs.

This is usually due to the internet connection. Check your internet connection and its speed with another application on your smartphone (e.g. browser). Close Planet Pop – English4Kids and start the app again if your internet connection is OK.
We are always working to improve the stability of the app. To ensure this, we update the app every 2-3 weeks so that even the smallest bugs can be fixed. Before you report a bug, make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.
For error messages, please contact our support team at support-kids@learnmatch.com.
Please describe your problem as precisely as possible (it is best to add screenshots or a video to your message, which show the problem in more detail). This will help us to find a suitable solution for you more quickly.

I can't see the whole app on my screen. (Concerns mostly Samsung devices)

Samsung sometimes recognises the app as a game and therefore displays it differently. You can change this by turning off the Game Launcher function.
Instead of deactivating the Game Launcher completely, you can simply select the Planet Pop – English4Kids in it and remove it from the list. The best way to do this is as follows:
1. Open the Game Launcher on your Samsung phone.
2. Swipe up from the footer at the bottom (where the installed games are listed).
3. Tap and hold the game icon you want to remove from the Game Launcher. A menu will appear. Tap “Remove from Game Launcher” (don’t worry, it will not be uninstalled from your device).
As soon as you remove the app from the Game Launcher, the app icon will disappear from the Game Launcher and you should see the whole app on your screen.

Point distribution

For every video and every correct exercise, your child receives one point.

Restore purchases

You have bought the unlimited version but don’t see it in the app? Try restoring the purchases first. Click on the profile sign at the top left of the menu and scroll down to ‘Restore purchases’.
Even if you have a new phone and don’t see the content purchased on your old device in the app, you can restore purchases. The prerequisite for this is that you use the same Apple ID or are logged in with the same Google account (as on the old device).

How many units are there in total?
